“LEAVE YOUR PRINT”

The term "butterfly effect" itself is related to the work of Meteorologist and Mathematician Edward Lorenz in the 1960's that was based in Chaos Theory, where small variations of the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. Well, if the "dynamical system" were to be a person, then, the behavior of people certainly depends of the behavior of others.

My proposal through this work, is not scientific or meteorological. It's emotional.

It's my invitation for people to be conscious about the "prints" that others have left in their lives, and vice-versa. We may be marked for life in many ways and who we are is made up of all the "prints" we accumulate through time.

Through a series of interactive performances, where I am giving out my finger prints (which in reality is a text written by me) to others, and collecting prints from people, I will be gathering material for mixed media, collages and videos that will be exhibited at the end of the year.

I attempt to show how people, as they are doing something for themselves, with their own intentions, good or bad, ultimately end up altering the state of my "world".

I believe that being conscious with our "prints" makes a difference in other people's lives in a positive way, and that everything we do affects people world, culture and generations apart.
