Ivan Loboguerrero. Recent Works
Luis Efe Vélez. Sculpture
Jorge M. Sori Fine Art presents its new exhibition featuring two contemporary artists from Colombia.
Ivan Loboguerrero was born in Bogotá. His art blends clean colors with shining strokes that creates peaceful atmospheres. Loboguerrero's work is rich in oil quantity and though elaborated textures, visual sensations are generated. With this horizon, the artist offers us his first diptych; we understand what goes into his mind and color symphonies. A good example is "Estancia Magica".
Luis Efe Vélez was born in Medellin. Studied Painting and Sculpture at L'Accademia, Florence, Italy in1979. In 1997 began to create sculptures in stainless steel for corporate and private collections. His sculptures are in collections throughout North and South America and Europe.
Jorge M. Sori Fine Art was established in Coral Gables in 1991.

Klara Chavarría. New Work
Klara Chavarria is an internationally acclaimed artist who has created a large body of work in a completely innovative style, which emanates a sophisticated philosophical and spiritual expression. Her emotionally filled paintings are recognized for her deep and meaningful concepts, which incorporate figurative and abstract elements. With the use of a perfect balance of colors, textures, mediums and techniques, Klara creates powerful expressions and beautiful pieces that communicate with the heart of the viewer. Her paintings are in hundreds of collections in The United States, Latin America and Europe.
She has owned and operated studios & galleries in Cincinnati, OH, Chicago, IL. and now in Coral Gables, FL. to exclusively represent her artwork. Her work has been attracting a prestigious following clientele, and has been represented by galleries and art dealers nationally and abroad.
K. Chavarria has a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) from KSU with a concentration in Painting and Design. She has deep interest and concern with the role that art has in human life. "Klara Chavarria is a magician, a poet, a historian, and a fortuneteller. Her paintings dance, sing, laugh, cry, question, answer, and move. In the forest of paintings I have seen, hers are streams that flow with beauty, purpose, and magic. I am always inspired and illuminated by her work". Milton Becerra. Ale’Ya. (libro del principio de las verdades escritas)
"Milton Becerra has an original, distinctive and personal language, having a truly surprising power of renewal and revival: consistent with his artistic conviction, his own manner of assuming artistic creation.
The works gathered in this exhibition share this exceptional condition. Reference to myths of Wayúu ethnicity, the elements of natural landscape and the manifestation of a geometric rationalism coexist in them without conflict, articulated under the principles of harmony and proportion.
Milton Becerra is probably the most fruitful and prolific Venezuelan plastic artist of his generation. His vast production comprises practically all the artistic means and procedures used in worldwide contemporary plastic research.
His rock assemblies on a plane surface, observed through a scheme of dense knots, carried out by means of the adaptation of a metric and constructivist disposition, change these works into a sort of homage to kinetics, conceived by the use of icons and gestures belonging to his own artistic discourse, as are the rocks, ropes and knots. Indeed, in these works – as in all of Becerra’s artistic works – the common denominator seems to be the precise domain of space and its expression in aesthetic, poetic and symbolic terms. Abstraction / Reaction
Jorge Cavelier. Ríos / Rivers. “The multiple interpretations of our life experience on earth can simply be referred to the contemplation of rivers; either if you are in the water or about the riverbank, the perception is as the manifestation of life itself. Rivers reflect light; all colors and forms live in their water mirrors. Rivers own sound, from whispers in the fountainhead to thundering waterfalls, from soft music in fast shivering upon shallow riverbeds to silence in the slow flow of deep waters.
Rivers vibrate continuously, from the first dewdrop fall to the yielding with the ocean. The river completes a journey incessantly. In this journey, the soft caress of mother Earth to the newborn river happens in a silent powerful way. Everything around the pristine water seems to glow with purity and freshness; innocence is beheld in every drop. As tributaries merge, sounds of all nature sums in vibratory joy to the flow, bringing memories and scents of different lands and forests, speaking of soft lichens and steppe rocks from every other birthplace.
Painting each work in this exhibition has been part of the voyage, finding at each composition a reason to contemplate life from the stream of time.” Jorge Cavelier

Depicted in ‘Vistas: Landscapes Interpreted’
Installations commenting on assaults on two remaining areas of pristine Florida environment are included in “Vistas: Landscapes Interpreted” at ArtSpace/Virginia Miller Galleries in downtown Coral Gables.
JSculptural installations by Kyle, a Florida artist whose works reflect his concern for the ongoing loss of the state’s natural areas to urban development, includes a six-and-a-half foot tall section of chain link fence supporting the outline of a person whose front side consists of hundreds of armed toy soldiers. Its back side bursts with flowers. Mounted on the wall alongside the fence is a six-by-four-foot box of green plant life with an inset sign stating “FUTURE SITE OF EVERYTHING.”

Pierre Traversat. Lincoln Road &
Les Filles de Christian Lacroix.
Aida Tejada. Photography On Saturday, April 3rd, Pierre Traversat will create a sculpture from 7 to 11 PM at Nomade Art Gallery. He will use a variety of chain saws and other utensils to create, live, a wooden sculpture. Pierre will start with the trunk of a palm tree (that quintessential Miami symbol) to slowly reveal his creation; contrasting the harshness of the chainsaw and the warmth of a wooden trunk. Join in the fun, observe and participate as Pierre Traversat reveals his technique!
Painter/sculptor Pierre Traversat introduces a new collection of paintings entitled “Lincoln Road” as well as a series of playful sculptures that he calls “ Les Filles de Christian Lacroix.” His new work is the reflection of his experiences in Miami: nightlife, fashion, and exuberance.
“Reflections” is Aida Tejada’s new collection of photographs inspired by a more tranquil balance than her previous work. Aida explores new color pallets, shapes and textures to reflect on her search. Aida’s search is a constant struggle to capture the expression of her innermost self with courage
