Liliana Golubinsky, Creer en Todos los Milagros (detail), mixed media on canvas, 39 x 39 in

Until February 29th
Liliana Golubinsky Through the Waters
Imaginary maps, majestic ships, medieval knights, forgotten oceans, captors and captives, toy horses, and illegible texts written across the surface of a fantasy world are some of the elements that dominate the canvases of the argentine artist Liliana Golubinsky.

Using her childhood memories as the main source of inspiration, Golubinsky brings forth her fragmented recollections of a world history learned during elementary school. As memory fades and the imagination takes over, a wonderful array of chronologically unrelated stories magically appear on the surface of her canvases. One may find battle ships from the XVI Century sharing the spotlight with collaged characters from medieval times.

Paper & Fiber
an eclectic collection of works on paper and fiber art
by MANO, Aurora Molina, George Rodez and Luis Enrique Torres

Paper & Fiber - An eclectic collection of works on paper and fiber by Miami artists; MANO, Aurora Molina, George Rodez and Luis Enrique Torres. The artists delve into paths of abstraction and expressionism using multidisciplinary techniques to create narratives of love and attachment.
MANO fills his paintings with intense color and texture, drawing on his background as an engineer he uses paper and fiber to create mutations of technology that indulge in romantic imagery.

Aurora Molina's fiber art revives the centuries-old craft of stitching and embroidery into the mainstream of contemporary art. Her work conveys powerful metaphors of life and love that belie her youth.

Rodez's erotic works on paper allude to sexual tension and suggestion, however the artists says that "it is purely unintentional and created from a deep unconscious level..."
Torres's work is richly saturated with organic substance and color conveying a powerful silence that challenges the viewer to connect time and space in a perfect moment.

Six 21st Century Contemporary Chinese Neo-Pop Artists
Li Bo, Kang Can, Xiong Lijun, Yang Na, Lu Peng, Liu Yan

Florida’s first exhibition of contemporary Chinese Neo-Pop art includes oils and original works on paper by established artists such as Lu Peng and Liu Yan as well as emerging artists Li Bo, Kang Can, Xiong Lijun, and Yang Na.

“Although the styles of these six artists are very different, the themes of Chinese neo-pop art often refer to the materialism and narcissism of the younger generation,” noted gallery director Virginia Miller. “Some artists present their views on their society’s corruption by Western influences, or contrast the punk rock culture with traditional Chinese images. We are fortunate indeed to be able to offer these works at a time when contemporary Chinese art is one of the hottest new categories for the art world’s collectors.”

Reflecting that widespread international interest, this exhibition has attracted the attention of both collectors and the art press. Art premium from Puerto Rico, Miami Herald and Miami News Times from Miami covered the show extensively.
