Durban-Segnini Gallery was founded in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1970 and in Miami, USA in 1992, by its present director and owner Mr. Cesar Segnini.

Durban-Segnini Gallery specializes in contemporary painting and sculpture, emphasizing in artists who have worked with abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction and kinetic art.

Simultaneously, the Gallery strives to promote and diffuse new artistic values as well as the historical vanguards that have influenced those.

Worldwide, Durban-Segnini Gallery is known for its expertise in such areas as the integration of artworks to architectural spaces as well as for its customized advising of private collections.

Join us in celebrating the recent success of César Santos who was chosen as an art teacher at one of the foremost schools of fine art in Scandinavia, Atelier Stockholm - The Swedish Academy of Realist Art. César Santos will teach students traditional time-tested techniques to achieve realistic drawing and painting. An Homage to César Santos will exhibit concurrently on the first floor of the gallery.

Faceless people rushing through the streets of giant cities like rats in a moving maze, disintegrating into misty silhouettes devoid of any essence, of any substance, of any soul "mere shadows of themselves".

The Americas Collection is pleased to present a poignant exhibition brought to us by the argentine artist Susana Rodriguez. The conception of this series came about in 2006 when the artist began to observe the streets of New York City as they got attacked by the fast flowing of anonymous bodies always accompanied by their mutating shadows.

This particular body of work tends to generate an inexplicable
sensation of solitude or melancholy. Her use of large voids or dark holes wrapping around her figures help create the mood. Rodriguez touches on the subject of physical and/or emotional separation, as well as identity loss as people try to survive within the tentacles of a big city.

The art of Gilda Sacasas evokes the distinctive character of the eternal feminine. Sacasas is a Cuban American contemporary artist who focuses on figures and color. Colors that endow her pieces with light, depth, mood, movement and energy projecting inner spiritual peace. Through her bold use of color, the real world she sees, becomes her world on canvas. Her experiences, memories and feelings, painting from the heart.

"When I look at my work I see the intensity of the sun, the moon, the vibrant colors that surround us and the sensual happy music of my homeland." She has been profiled in numerous national and international publications. Sacasas' work ranges from original paintings, limited edition giclees and mixed media ceramics.
