Robert Zuckerman, Bianca Magic Shower, photograph, 1985
Until August 1st Robert Zuckerman. Time Machine. Photography
Robert Zuckerman, acclaimed photographer known for creating advertising and/or publicity images for such films as The Crow, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Any Given Sunday, Training Day, Bad Boys 2, National Treasure, Transformers, Pursuit of Happiness and many more, will be exhibiting his vintage fine art imagery originally from the mid '70s to the early '90s.
Says Zuckerman: “The work represented in TIME MACHINE is my version of being a ‘kid in a candy store,’ such was the experience of discovery, magic and promise. As a young, shy, inhibited boy, the camera early on held great appeal to me. It was a magic box with the power to create images, and it had the power, for me, to access and connect the inner and the outer worlds. Most of these images have been filed away for decades, and now, as I reconnect with them, I find that they have taken on an added dimension of power and meaning.”

From June 14 Felice Grodin. Lost Horizon
“We are living in a time when fixed notions have been lost and new possibilities are on the
horizon. My work attempts to trap the mutable state of things where paradigms shift, boundaries
erode and particles collide. I investigate the architecture of chance, the stretching of the
'truth' and the delaying of the inevitable.”
Exploring drawing, collage and sculpture, Felice Grodin maps out cartographies of tension and
compression that remain spatially ambiguous. They represent moments of transformation,
movement and entropy. Felice Grodin was born in Bologna, Italy. She curated her first show at Locust Projects in Miami called “Synesthetics” which explored the creative interface between art, design and technology. Felice lives and works in Miami Beach.

Jacqueline, Color Bars Triptych, Encaustic work on canvas, 46 x 48 in
Jacqueline. Encaustic Series
Jacqueline's complex layers of pigment suspended in time engage the viewer’s entire body and transport the mind to a deeper, ethereal place of wholeness and light.
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid/paste is then applied to a surface — usually prepared wood, however, Jacqueline's newest series of works are translated on canvas and have a deep richness afforded only to work that has been painstakingly created by a master artist and craftswoman.

From June 13 to September 5 Luna Park Daniel Arsham, Courtesy of Emanuel Perrotin Gallery Luis Gispert, Courtesy of Fred Snitzer Gallery Gean Moreno Martin Oppel,Courtesy of Emanuel Perrotin Gallery Ernesto Oroza Gavin Perry, Courtesy of Fred Snitzer Gallery
For the exhibition Luna Park, Alejandra von Hartz Gallery has invited six Miami artists to produce functional lighting objects and/or realistic schemes for ambient illumination. In other words, they have been invited not so much to produce artsy, one-of-a-kind lamps as to develop well-thought prototypes that can be mass-produce and exist in the world much like any other designed object must. The artists have been invited to consider all the possibilities that are opened by any number of vibrant spaces--from the family room to the corporate lobby, from the themed club or restaurant to the university dorm, from the corner cafeteria to the outdoor promenade--that exist beyond the safe-zones through which art objects usually circulate.
Along with producing prototypes, the artists have been invited to consider the way in which their works will be presented. Display itself is being considered here as an active element in the way that objects go out into the world, in the way that an initial context determines the many other contexts that they may potentially exist in.

Donna Conlon & Lucía Madriz
“My work is a socio-archaeological inquiry into my immediate surroundings. I collect and accumulate ordinary objects, images, and repeated actions from my daily life and local environment, and then use them to reveal the idiosyncrasies of human nature and the contradictions inherent to our contemporary lifestyle. The development of my projects often begins with simply noticing an out-of-context object or an illogical occurrence. I have used damaged trees and plants that I have found in the woods, insects that have flown into my studio, lost shoes, and garbage from the streets and sidewalks to describe and question human behavior, especially the conflicts I observe in our urban, natural, and social environments.” Donna Conlon

Linda Copeland Artist in Residence
Copeland’s art is all about expressing energy. Her paintings lack familiar objects and as a result she invites the viewer to feel the painting emotionally. Rather than trying to interpret the painting, she would like you to simply enjoy the experience, feel the energy and see the beauty. Her process is very physical and it is this form of both bodily and emotional intensity that inspires her. She believes that in our daily life we personally interpret what we see to define the experience we have. Each of us can look at the same object and see something different based on our level of consciousness.
All the art you will view in her gallery studio has the impression of spontaneity. In the first room, you’ll find paintings that use an “all over” technique – there is no definable composition. In the other room is a brand new series called Moondust.

Jesus Soto
Penetrable BBL Blue, 1999
Enjoy this spectacular Soto at Durban Segnini new open space in Wynwood. Soto was a Venezuelan artist (1923 – 2005). He was a sculptor and painter and is most famous for his op art and kinetic art works. Soto is particularly well known for his penetrables, interactive sculptures which consist of square arrays of thin, dangling tubes through which observers can walk. It has been said of Soto's art that it is inseparable from the viewer; it can only stand completed in the illusion perceived by the mind as a result of observing the piece.
Durban-Segnini Gallery was founded in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1970 and in Miami, USA in 1992, by its present director and owner Mr. Cesar Segnini.
Durban-Segnini Gallery specializes in contemporary painting and sculpture, emphasizing in artists who have worked with abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction and kinetic art.Simultaneously, the Gallery strives to promote and diffuse new artistic values as well as the historical vanguards that have influenced those.

The exhibition concept expresses man's relationship to work in this worst economic crisis of our time- on a social and political level.
Our attitude toward work: is it our passion? is it a means to an end? How has our relationship to money changed during this so called economic cleansing. It is as if the RESET button has been pressed there is anxiety mixed with new creativity circling our universe now.
